Valencia, Spain

We absolutely had to run away from Luxembourg to get some sun.  The lack of sun probably is one of the most challenging things for us to overcome.

After a short flight and a metro ride we strolled through the Turia River Bed garden.  It is an absolutely beautiful garden that was developed in the old river bed.

We did not wait too long and as soon as we dropped of our luggage we took of to the beach.

Ian's six pack :)))))

Cool sand castles.  The builders wanted some donations.

I absolutely love the architecture.  I know I probably say this in every place we have visited, but each city is so unique and beautiful and cool, I love seeing that kind of personalization that each city/country has developed.

This is not the first time I see Braille signs posted in a city squares or museums.  I think it is rather cool.

Valencia Cathedral

...believed to house the Holy Grail

Here it is, the Holy Grail.

Science and Arts center.  Kids loved the spaceship look.

We are enjoying some Spanish Horchata.  It tasted a little different from the Mexican recipe because they use local Spanish nuts to make this drink.

Cool creatures of the Aquarium

In the evening we enjoyed no hands volleyball game on the beach.

Simple fun :)))))

Some more views of Valencia

Buddhists by a Catholic cathedral .....

Here is some pics from the Science museum.  We all enjoyed how the superhero powers were connected to the forces of nature.

and we had to contribute to the building project that was going on in the museum :)))))

Paella and sangria time ( kids got some chicken and water).  It was wonderful.

Our last walk on the beach
