... or so it seems. During our last trip to Perl, Germany (our grocery shopping destination), my husband did the research on our GPS for the Local Attractions. And Malbrouck Castle came up. The weather on that day was typical for this season, gloomy and rainy, however this discovery cheered us up.
This castle has been fully renovated about 15 years ago and now it also hosts as a gallery for a variety of artists throughout the year. This time is was hosting the exposition by Claude Weisbuch.
Since the weather was not good, kids had fun walking up and down the stairs (which is much more exercise that they would have had otherwise)

The restoration of this castle took 8 years and was done by the crew of 30 men. It is amazing.

It was raining, so this is not the best picture, but the view was breathtaking.
It is not our first castle but it never seem to amaze me the amount of history, architecture and culture that each and every one of these castles has.
